A Dakota in Manipur and an Ouragon at Gauhati?

J Barua writes the following:

"A long time ago (20 yrs plus!), I remember seeing a C-47 out in an open field near Imphal, the capital of Manipur. I was driving from Kohima to Imphal and it might have been anywhere in between. About 4 years ago, I also saw the nose of an Ouragan through a gateway of AF station, Borjhar (Guwahati), the rest of it being obscured by a wall. I didn't see this one listed on your website and am not sure it is still there."(20/06/04)

Aditya Gupta sights the elusive Kanpur??

Aditya Gupta sends us an old picture from his collection that definitely looks like the IAF 'Kanpur II' aircraft that was designed and manufactured by AVM Harjinder Singh. Unfortunately the picture is not too clear and you can just about make out the ac in the back ground. Aditya sent us this picture six months back, which we reproduce here with due apologies. The Kanpur is pointed out by the Red Arrow.  (20/06/04) Kanpur.jpg (16704 bytes)
