Attrition Database Updates

altThe Indian Air Force attrition losses for 2008, as well as the Pakistan Air Force losses for the past five years are now updated in the databases.

Click here for IAF losses in 2008 and Click here for PAF losses in 2008

The Indian Armed Forces lost a total of 10 aircraft last year - of which 8 belonged to the Air Force, 1 each to the Indian Army and the Coast Guard. Overall this was an improvement over 2007. But 2006 was a better year for the IAF.

The Pakistan Armed Forces, on the other hand suffered a very high rate of attrition - 10 aircraft lost this year.

The attrition page have also been re-coded to make navigaton and querying more intuitive. Now you can click on the Aircraft name to retrieve a listing of records for that type. Alternative, if you find the Date field to be a hyper link, clicking on it will retreive the records for that particular year.

An year-wise listing for the IAF, PAF and WW2 can be accessed from this link
